OPEN POSITIONS

Building Maintenance Technician (Full-Time):

Essential Functions

• Maintains hotel by performing minor and major repairs and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand and / or power tools.
• Replaces air-conditioner filters, works on thermostats, repairs kitchen hoods and bathroom exhausts and motors.
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• May tend furnace, air-conditioner, hot water heater and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
• Maintain hotel grounds including landscaping, snow removal, etc.
• Ensures proper cleaning of all equipment / tools after work is completed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
• Works from ladders, man lifts, scissor lift, ability to operate snow blowers, truck plows and tractor


Restaurant Supervisor ($15/Hr | Full-Time):

Essential Functions

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in all efforts to ensure the highest level of execution in the restaurant front-of-house.
• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, make introductions, welcome to restaurant.
• Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, to respond to complaints, and to make conversation.
• Take food orders and relay orders to the kitchen so they can be filled.
• Place food servings on plates or trays according to orders or instructions.
• Monitor food preparation or serving techniques to ensure that proper procedures are followed.
• Organize prep items needed from different areas to ensure all items are in place and ready for service.
• Examine trays to ensure that they contain required items.
• Load trays with accessories such as eating utensils, napkins, or condiments.
• Polish dishes, kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Attend any and all meetings designated by the Executive Chef, Director of Food & Beverage, and/or General Manager.
• Participate in quarterly china/silver/glass inventory.
• Keep POS system updated and current with menu items and pricing.
• Manage, direct and supervise restaurant and staff.
• Ensure that all staff adheres to resort grooming guidelines.
• Actively look for ways to assist both guests and coworkers.
• Work closely, and constructively with any and all kitchen staff members, and related departments to achieve the highest possible level of guest service and employee morale.
• Maintain contact with all restaurant staff, managers and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly and guest concerns are addressed.
• Meet with Restaurant Manager and Director of Food & Beverage to review assignments, anticipate business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all services related to the Company.
• As a leader in the Food & Beverage department, the Restaurant Supervisor has an affirmative duty to lead by example, and act in the best interest of the Company. This duty extends to conduct away from the property.
• The Restaurant Supervisor shall, through professional example, develop and promote the growth of all staff by educating, empowering, and sharing passion for excellence.
• Fulfill and assume responsibility for any additional tasks assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager, Director of Food & Beverage or General Manager of the resort.


Dishwasher ($13/Hr | Full-Time):

Essential Functions

• Maintain complete knowledge of all services related to the Company.
• Maintain confidentiality of any and all proprietary information as required by the Company.
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition, as directed by culinary management.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the loading dock/refuse areas of the culinary department as directed.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pick up areas.
• Sweep or scrub floors.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
• Assist in the maintenance of chemical inventory and linen supplies, notifying the kitchen supervisor of needs in a proactive manner to avoid outages or overstock of these supplies.
• Assist in the receiving and stocking of any and all supplies as directed.
• Monitor breakage and damage to any items or equipment within the culinary department.
• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using dollies.
• Assist in any culinary tasks as directed, producing in adherence to established recipes and techniques.
• Meet with supervisor to review assignments, anticipate business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance.
• Prepare and organize all items needed from different areas to ensure all items are in place and ready for service.
• Review status of work and follow up actions required with kitchen supervisor prior to leaving.
• Assist any other department with cleanliness, sanitation, and organizational tasks as directed by the kitchen supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Securtiy ($15/Hr | Part-Time):

Minimum Requirements

• Food handler certification required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Security guard card preferred.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate preferred.
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to work cohesively with all levels of management, all departments and co-workers as part of a team.

Cooks ($14/Hr | Full-Time):

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain complete knowledge of all services related to the Company.
• Maintain confidentiality of any and all proprietary information as required by the Company.
• Inspect, clean, disinfect and sanitize food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
• Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost.
• Transport empty, dirty pots and pans to the pot wash station.
• Meet with the Lead Cook to review assignments, anticipate business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance.
• Prepare and organize all items needed from different areas to ensure all items are in place and ready for service.
• Mix ingredients for green salads, molded fruit salads, vegetable salads, and pasta salads.
• Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.
• Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Inform chef of any excess items that could be used in daily specials or elsewhere.
• Review status of work and follow up actions required with the Lead Cook prior to leaving.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Restaurant Night Cleaner (Full-Time):

Do you love the freedom during the day to shred, hike, and explore? Consider an overnight shift! This position comes with a sign-on bonus of $100 after 30 days and $400 after 6 months of successful employment.

Night Cleaner duties include the night/early morning cleaning of the restaurants on the Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa property. This position will start between 3:00 and 4:00am.

Cleaning experience is required. Detail-oriented, and ability to complete tasks without direct supervision required.

Essential Job Functions

• Clean and maintain restaurants at established quality standards
• Follow all departmental and safety procedures
• Report any maintenance issues they observe
• Maintain a clean and well organized work area
• Turn in all Lost & Found according to established procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of guest areas, i.e. pick up dishes, trash as needed

Front Desk Supervisor (Full-Time):

The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for assisting Front Desk Agents & Valet/Bell staff members, answers and processes all phone calls received, plus handles all special requests for services or information, in accordance with standard policies and procedures.
